FINAL EXAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL SPEECH

PICK ONE SPEECH TO PRESENT:

  1. Apologetics
    1. 5 minute speech
    2. Choose one of the tenants of the Christian Faith and support why you believe it.
    3. Must have 3 pieces of evidences from credible sources
    4. Must use 2 pieces of Scripture to support your belief.
    5. This speech needs to have all the parts of a speech

      i.Opening, Hook

ii. Introduction to your Speech

iii. 3 POINTS

iv. Closing

f. This speech cannot be read from the paper. It must be in an outline form, to be glanced at during the speech, while the speech is being given.

g. GRADE

25% of the grade is based on the 5 minute time frame

25% of the grade will be on your physical stance giving your speech

50% of the grade will be based on the content of the speech:5% Hook, 10% Introduction, 10% for each of the 3 Points=30% and 5% Closing

2. Dramatic Interpretation

5 minute speech

  1. This speech must be obtained from a piece of literature, Word for Word, dramatic interpretation of the literature.
  2. It must be memorized from the literature piece. You will not be allowed to bring the book, poem, play or prose up with you.
  3. 4 minutes of the Speech must be a dramatic Interpration of the piece. It will be easiest to use a book or play. You may cut and paste portions of the play or book together , in order for you to get 4 minutes.

d. GRADE

1. 25% of the grade is based on the 5 minute time frame

2. 25% of the grade will be on your physical stance giving your speech

3. 50% of the grade will be based on the memorization and dramatically accurate interpretation of the literary piece.

3. Persuasive Speech

5 minute speech

  1. This speech must be a piece your own work.
  2. It must be memorized.
  3. This speech needs to have all the parts of a speech

i. Opening, Hook

ii. Introduction to your Speech

iii. 3 POINTS

iv. Closing

e. GRADE

1. 25% of the grade is based on the 5 minute time frame

2. 15% of the grade will be on your physical stance giving your speech

3. 50% of the grade will be based on the persuasive speech meeting all of the content requirements.

4. 10% of the grade will be based on your success in persuading the audience of your position.
