The Primary Role of The Typical Home-School Dad

Published by carlpaulino under Home-schooling Edit This

For many home-school families, the bulk of the educational responsibility is placed upon the mother. It’s not that the father is incapable of teaching his charges; it’s just that he is usually the one who works (outside of the home). Let’s face it, few of us men, (myself in particular) would be able to teach, multi-task, and manage the home at the level our brides can, day-in and day-out. There’s just to many things going on at one (or any given) time to keep track of for us singular focus types.

Oh sure, I could teach the basics, some may even be able to teach the more advanced subjects. The challenge for me, and many other men would be doing that consistently and effectively while fulfilling the other daily familial responsibilities. I like to tell my bride I can do all the things (as in each individual task) that she does. I just can’t do them all (as in all of them), like she does - let alone, every day.

I can, and have fed the kids many times…but I have forgotten that a couple of times.        ( The quality of care drops dramatically when she leaves the house). I can, and have done the dishes and laundry but I have great difficulty understanding the concept of doing a job that has no end in sight. It drains me. I mean, once you get done doing the dishes, there’s more dishes. The laundry only differs from dishes in that I don’t think (especially with 8 children) we could ever say the laundry has ever been “done” in the literal sense of the word. I know many men are genuinely surprised to find out that “doing the laundry” actually includes folding everything and putting it back where it came from a few days ago. That compounds the problem immeasurably.

All I know is that once the piles are down to a few manageable loads, there’s still more laundry to do! When I work in my trade, I can see what I have completed. There is a noticeable and measurable progression by the end of each day that will not have to be done again and again. That measure satisfaction seems un-attainable in the home.

At home, all this goes on all day long, every day. On the few occasions that I’ve been home, by the time the second load of dishes comes around, I’m ready for my nap! My bride says “you can’t”…not just because she doesn’t. She says I can’t take a nap because the laundry and the dishes will continue to pile up and it will just get worse. I guess that’s where I’m different from her! I’m thinkin’ I need a nap precisely because the laundry and the dishes will keep piling up!

Did I mention the all kids have to be home-schooled during all this? I was gonna get to that but I had to take the garbage out because the baby had a blowout that made his jump suit expendable. There are some stains I just don’t want coming out in the wash…or anywhere else for that matter.

This is just a glimpse of what goes on, in and around home-schooling families on a daily basis. I didn’t forget to mention the spills, the floors, the furniture, the shopping or the errands, it’s just that I need to get to the point of this article.

The primary role of the typical home-school dad is to help, support, and encourage his bride in all she does. One of the things that most grieves me is when I see a husband who does not believe his wife is qualified to teach their children. That is insulting and degrading.

God Almighty places the responsibility for teaching children solely on the parents. That which God calls us to do He will enable us to do. Your job, as the spiritual leader of your home is to love her, encourage her, and instill confidence in her so she will flourish in her role. Rather than undermining her with veiled insults regarding her ability to teach, speak grace, and that which is edifying to her.

How successful do you think you would be if your boss or co-workers had no confidence in your ability and made that known to you in no uncertain terms?

Who is more likely to be successful, a person who is held in disdain by his peers, whose every little mistake is scrutinized and magnified, and publicized; causing insecurity.

Or, a person who is valued and encouraged by his peers, whose mistakes are seen as just that – mistakes that one has the liberty to learn from ?

Confidence is an amazing motivator. With it, one believes he / she can do anything. Without it, one is at a loss to do things they once excelled in. You can see that illustrated in professional athletes very often.  A husband can and should inspire confidence in his bride. His encouragement will inspire confidence. His support of his bride in backing her authority before the children will bring order and peace into the home. His time and effort in helping out around the house will go further in bringing peace to other areas of the home!!! Then you can take your nap!

Three Good Reasons to Homeschool Your Child

Published by carlpaulino under Home-schooling Edit This

There are so many good reasons to home-school your child. It is my hope to encourage you with just a few. Each precious child is unique in so many ways. The way one child learns compared to another can be quite varied, even within the same family.

Some children are auditory learners, some are visual learners, and some just have “do it” or hands on learners. Home-schooling allows parents to teach their children in ways that are more effective based on the way each individual child processes information.

The “one size fits all system” of state run education cannot possibly accommodate all these methods. Personally, the idea that an adolescent boy can learn anything sitting in chair for 6-8 hours a day is just ridiculous. A young girl may be able to sit in compliance and learn in the process, but boys are typically wired by God to run, move, explore, and touch stuff. Some young boys can sit through school all day and do well, but those who struggle with either the sitting or the learning are often labeled ADD.

Another good reason to home-school your child is because each child will have his or her own interests and passions. Home-schooling allows the parents to gear the curriculum around those interests. This really becomes significant as the years go on. Your child has interests, passions, and talents placed within by God Himself. Our primary job as parents of 8 and counting is to see what God has placed in them and enable them to flourish in that. When a child (especially boys) is interested in a subject, he or she will “want” to learn. The challenge is found in the subjects they have no interest in.

Lastly, and most importantly, the primary reason to home-school your child is because the person(s) who loves them most, and who is genuinely interested in their personal success is teaching them. Mom and / or dad are with their child every day, not only teaching subjects, but instilling character and building strong relationships. It is my contention that the impact of that cannot possibly be measured and there isn’t enough money in print to compare to its value.

Have Christians as a whole left behind the teachings of Christ?

Published by carlpaulino under RELIGION Edit This

I do not believe Christians “as a whole” have left the teachings of Christ, because God always has a faithful remnant. Unfortunately, many Christians, churches, and denominations have abandoned the teachings of Jesus Christ. We have departed from The Living God in many aspects of life, ranging from our relationships to worrying about the foods we eat.

Many Christians give more heed to the words and ways of this world than they do to the Word(s) and Way of Jesus Christ. Let’s begin with the more subtle (some might say humorous) departures from our faith. Many Christians are tossed to and fro, seeking the perfect nutritional diet and balance, for health and long life. They bounce from one plan to the next, or from eating one certain food to another based on fear from news reports or studies. Ultimately, these reports and studies will contradict one another and it is difficult to know the Truth.

That’s because the Truth is not found in news reports or studies. The Truth is only found in The Word of God. Jesus Christ said it’s Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Matthew 15:11The Apostle Paul affirms this in Romans 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him [it is] unclean.

While prophesying of people departing from the faith in the last days, Paul warns us about those who will be  forbidding to marry, [and commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth 1Tim 4:3

While we can see those doctrines in a certain denomination today, my concern is how individual Christians will refuse to eat certain foods for fear or tradition.

Look at what Paul goes on to tell us under the inspiration of The Holy Spirit. 1 Tim 4:4-5 For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

That’s why we say “grace” before each meal!!! God sanctifies it!!! For the Christian, you can’t buy or grow food any healthier than that! We dare not call unclean (or unhealthy) what God has cleaned.

It may seem a small matter to us today, but Paul further instructed Timothy; 1 Tim 4:6  If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

Paul encourages Timothy to remind Christians of these things, and offers strong commendations for following through. Today, those words are considered foolishness by scores of health conscious Christians. It amazes me that we can profess to believe in a Risen Savior, Who said if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them Mark 16:18, yet hold fast to the belief that eating to many cheeseburgers will kill us.

Christians have also deferred to the world’s message of exercise and fitness for longevity as opposed to the exercise that God would have us strengthened in. Continuing in the same passage, Paul writes: 1 Tim 4:7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather  unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Paul tells us there is little profit in bodily exercise. Still, many Christians strive to strengthen the flesh in our pursuit of health and long life. Paul was beaten, whipped, shipwrecked, snake-bit, stoned and left for dead. He lived through and endured more physical punishment than the strongest, most physically fit among us could ever imagine to bear. He was able to do this by Grace of God and exercising himself unto godliness. It is apparent, by his own admission,  that he wasn’t Mr. Olympiad!

2 Corinthians 10:10 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and [his] speech contemptible.

As far as hopes of living long through diet or exercise, we shouldn’t worry about it! The Just Shall Live By Faith! That which is begun in The Spirit can not be made perfect by the flesh. Luke 12:22 -23 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body [is more] than raiment.

We have to trust God at His Word for long life! Psalm 91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Venturing into areas of greater significance, many Christians have left the teachings of Christ when it comes to Forgiveness, Divorce, and Re-Marriage. It is no secret that the divorce rate among Christians mirrors that of the secular world. This should not be.

Without getting into a debate about the proverbial “exception clause”, virtually every time Jesus Christ spoke on divorce, He went on to say that marrying another is adultery. See Matt 5:32, 19:9, Mark 10:11, and Luke 16:18.

The reason couples divorce is ultimately because they refuse to forgive each other. We are repeatedly commanded from scripture to forgive each other. In fact, while teaching us to pray, Jesus said: For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Ephesians 5:25-27 tells -Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

It is one thing to be willing to die for your bride by defending her from a villain or intruder. That is an honorable death, a noble death, and a physical death. The difficult and more likely scenario is that Christ Jesus calls husbands to die daily (if necessary) – to themselves when their bride hurts them, disappoints them, or betrays them. He commands us to forgive them, cleanse them, and love them. That is exactly what He does for us.

Unfortunately, many Christian men choose to do the same thing the world does in those circumstances. They refuse to forgive and they refuse to reconcile. Instead, they choose to condemn their bride, and pursue divorce. The results are the same as we see in the secular world; another victory in hell and another broken family.

Similarly, the Bible tells Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Ephesians 5:22-23.

I’m not even sure you can say “wives submit” in church anymore! Suffice it to say, the following verse; Therefore, as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing - has been abandoned by many Christian women.

There are so many ways in which Christians have left the teachings of Christ for the words and ways of the secular world. Time fails me to speak in detail of how Christians have come to view children as a “burden” rather than a blessing as the Bible says. Most will readily admit they have no greater joy than their children, and with the next breath vow to do whatever is necessary to keep from having another!

These are just some of the verses regarding when life begins. Take a look.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew theePsalm 139:13-14 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.Psalm 139:16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Many Christians may not realize it, but almost every form of birth control is abortive. That is to say, conception occurs and life begins before the birth control means disrupts and destroys the creative process. My bride and I found this out (through a Christian Pregnancy Resource Center Web-Site) to late. Many Christians we have talked to about this do not want to know, and they certainly do not want to change.

I don’t say any of this to condemn the church but rather to illustrate a few areas of our lives that we should seriously reconsider. If the Holy Spirit convicts your heart on any of this, remember 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The idea that we can live like the world, act like the world, and think like the world – while talkin’ about lovin’ Jesus is completely unfounded Biblically. I think Paul said it best in Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

To do anything less, is to willfully abandon the teachings of Jesus Christ

Is There Room For Other Beliefs in Christianity?

Published by carlpaulino under RELIGION Edit This

No! There is absolutely no room in Christianity for other beliefs! Christ Jesus effectively said just that when He said, John 14:6 I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. That may seem a bit narrow minded to a faithless world that likes to believe all roads lead to Heaven, but they have no concept of what Christ did

He alone paid for our sin(s) with His life, with His body, and with His blood. He alone has risen from the grave! That is what gives Him the right to say I Am the Only way!

None of the other prominent religious leaders of this world did anything to atone for your sin (or their own for that matter) or to secure your place in Heaven. They are all dead and in their graves. You can visit the shrines erected in their honor in which they are entombed. Ironically, that is where the road they have prepared for their followers leads - to the grave.

In contrast, there is great uncertainty as to the actual grave - site of Jesus Christ. In my view, that is a good thing because some would probably worship it rather than the One Who “was” in it. The only certainty regarding the grave of Jesus Christ is that it is Empty! That’s as it should be because faith in Christ does not lead you to the grave, it leads to eternal life.

All the other religions of this world espouse certain practices, principles, rituals, and traditions that may be viewed as honorable to one degree or another. The fact remains however, that none of those religions has any remedy for the human condition. That is an unregenerate sinner, separated from a Holy, Loving, and Merciful God.

Many adhere to some sort of penitent or punitive rituals that illustrate their fallen condition; while others acknowledge no such thing, presuming themselves to be gods in varying degrees of consciousness. Both views are grievously wrong and diametrically opposed to each other. Now it could well be said, that all of these “roads” lead to the same place but it certainly isn’t heaven. Jesus said only one path leads to Heaven. Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Again I say, there is absolutely no room for other beliefs (or belief in others) in Christianity. Jesus said it! His life, His sacrificial and atoning death, His resurrection from the grave, and His ascension to the Right Hand of the Father in Heaven - prove it!

All that was necessary for the Jews and Romans (and all those who were against Christ) to stop Christianity in its tracks was to produce His body. They couldn’t! More importantly (in terms of evidence), we see Jesus’ disciples, who were completely distraught and devastated by His brutal and horrific death; all dying a martyr’s death because they would not deny that Jesus Christ had risen from the grave. Keep in mind, these guys never thought it possible. They weren’t expecting it. In fact, they didn’t even believe it when they were told HE was alive by the girls who visited His empty grave

These men, these martyr’s were forever changed when they saw, touched, and spoke with The Risen Son of God. They were transformed from the fearful faithless to the fearless faithful. They knew Jesus was Alive and they gave their lives as a testimony to that fact.

It has well been said that people may live for a lie (because they can benefit from it), but no man will knowingly die for a lie. If Jesus had not risen from the grave, His disciples would have all given their lives for a lie. The fact is Jesus IS Alive. His disciples tell us there is no other name by which man must be saved.

Every other religion is essentially man’s futile attempts to reach God by works and one can never know if he or she was “good enough” to go to Heaven. Christianity is the only faith ( Christ didn’t come to start another “religion” ) that acknowledges that we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God and there is nothing we can do (in and of ourselves) good enough or often enough to change that.

Christianity is founded on the fact that we are saved by the Grace of God through Faith in the Perfect, Sinless Life, - Sacrificial and Substitutionary Death and the Glorified Resurrection of The Lord Jesus Christ.

When Christ Jesus was crucified, there were two men crucified with Him. Both of those men were sentenced to die under Roman law for the crimes they had committed. After Christ Jesus cries out from the cross, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do”, one of those guys realizes that Jesus is The Messiah. That guy then puts his faith in Jesus Christ and is saved from eternal punishment. What hope would there be for that guy in other religion?

No punitive work, no penitent ritual would have helped him on his cross. Crucified murderers and thieves, even by the most lax New Age standards, are not at any recognizable god-like level of consciousness. So what saved this man? Nothing but the Blood of Jesus. Why is this man with Christ in Heaven? Because this condemned sinner put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No man gets to the Father except through Him.

To suggest that following and praying to a person of significant religious stature, who is dead and buried; is equivalent to following and praying to The Risen and Living Son of God is absolutely absurd. To suggest that there is room for “other beliefs” such as these, within Christianity is either an appeasement or a compromise by those who don’t fully understand what Christ did on the cross; or have the courage of their convictions to love someone enough to tell them the truth. Oh, that we would rather risk loosing a friend for the sake of the Gospel, rather than potentially guaranteeing the loss of his soul for our friendship.

The Gap Theory is False Teaching (an overview) Part 3

Published by carlpaulino under RELIGION Edit This

I believe the Gap Theory is false because God IS our Example and HIS “work week” is our example. It’s not a magnificent creation gone amuck, then destroyed, and a new creation in 6 days, resting on the 7th. It is clearly taught in Scripture as a literal 7 day week…just like we have now (in fact, that’s why we have it). The Bible (GOD) tells us man shall work 6 days and rest on the 7th JUST AS GOD DID. It doesn’t say “work for a while, throw it all away, and then work 6 days (which would be the genuine “Biblical example” if The Gap Theory is to be believed ). To suggest that GOD worked (created) before the 7 days HE says HE worked in, is adding to scripture and insulting HIS handiwork. Remember, HE did not make “another creation” after Noah’s Flood (although HE allegedly destroyed it the same way as  “lucifer’s flood”). In Noah’s flood, the waters receded and things began anew because HIS WORK WAS FINISHED! Symbolic of our sins being washed away, being made NEW CREATIONS by HIS Blood, and entering into HIS REST.

The Bible proves Genesis 1 - six day creation / 7day week repeatedly.

Genesis 2:2-3  AND ON THE SEVENTH DAY, GOD ENDED HIS WORK WHICH HE HAD MADE;  AND HE RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORK WHICH HE HAD MADE  Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, AND DO ALL THY WORK. But the seventh day is the Sabbath of THE LORD thy GOD. In it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, … FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE 6213HEAVEN AND EARTH, THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IN THEM IS AND RESTED THE SEVENTH DAY: Wherefore The LORD Blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Exodus 31:17 It is a sign between ME and the children of
Israel forever: FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE
6213 HEAVEN AND EARTH, AND ON THE SEVENTH DAY HE RESTED, AND WAS REFRESHED.

Heb 4:3b-4 As I have Sworn in MY wrath, if they shall enter into MY REST; ALTHOUGH THE WORKS WERE FINISHED FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD. FOR HE SPAKE IN A CERTAIN PLACE OF THE SEVENTH DAY on this wise, AND GOD DID REST THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS. Notice the WORKS were FINISHED from the foundation of the world. If GOD does it, There is no need to Re-do it!

The Bible clearly reads One creative process (Christ even refers to marriage as in the beginning; Matthew 19:4b Have ye not read, THAT HE WHICH MADE THEM AT THE BEGINNING made them male and female,) Which “beginning do you think Christ was referring to? Since there is no account of marriage or family in the “Lucifer’s Flood” / “Gap theory”, I would have to say The LORD JESUS CHRIST is referring to “the Beginning” as Written in Genesis Ch.1-2

The Age of Accountability

Published by carlpaulino under RELIGION Edit This

Within the Christian community there is a lot of talk about an age in which a person becomes accountable to God for accepting or rejecting him. Some believe that it could be around 12 years old because that is when the Jews throw a Bar mitzvah for a son, marking the time in which he becomes a man. There is no clear age given in the Bible. Nevertheless, there are some verses that might give us a hint of when that age could be. I submit the following verses:

Exd 30:14 Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD.

Lev 27:3 And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

Lev 27:5 And if [it be] from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

Num 1:3 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in
Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

Num 14:29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,

Num 32:11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:

Only The LORD determines when a person is truly accountable to Him and at which age they are mature enough to make the decision to follow Christ or reject Him. My hope for the younger generation is that the age of accountability is older rather than younger.

The Gap Theory is False Teaching (an overview) Part 2

Published by carlpaulino under RELIGION Edit This

**** 4.) The Gap Theory negates GOD’s Word not only because it adds an entire “re-creative process” and ensuing destruction (in or during a verse that fails to mention it); but also, in that such a disaster is not spelled out specifically, or clearly spoken of anywhere else in scripture that we can learn from it. Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning,.. None of the New Testament writers or speakers mention it or refer to it. Christ referred to Noah’s Flood,
Sodomand Gomorah; two fairly devastating events that we can learn from, and HE used those historical facts to warn us! HE never mentioned the pre-Adamites destruction. As we will see later, when Christ refers to “the beginning”, HE always refers to Adam, Noah, etc. The New Testament backs that up repeatedly as well.

GOD explains the reasons why HE was going to destroy the earth (and all in it – Noah’s Flood) very clearly and with great detail. Moreover, Noah’s Flood is referred to throughout The Bible, even in The New Testament. What Gap proponents call “Lucifer’s Flood”(pre-adamic flood) is not spelled out in Genesis 1:2 at all, and not a single reason as to WHY God would have flooded the earth (at that time) is offered. No details given. It is not referred to in scripture (Christ never mentioned it, and the epistle’s never mention it. All we see and can learn from is SIN AND DEATH ENTER THE WORLD THROUGH ADAM AND NOAH FOUND GRACE WHEN GOD DESTOYED ALL THAT WERE IN THE EARTH.

To believe the Gap Theory, we have to believe that sin and death entered the world through a nameless person and was passed on generations of nameless people(s) who were destroyed without warning, without grace, without mercy, and without a hint of an atoning blood covenant. All of that flies in the face of our GOD Who seeks personal relationship with man. At the very least, that means knowing his name, but I digress.

Furthermore, one would have to go on to accept that GOD then re-created the world and all life forms in it. Creating man (with a name this time - Adam), In His Image, out of cursed ground, full of dead and destroyed creatures. This time however, when man sins, God prophesies and implements a plan of salvation through the shedding of blood and the seed of the woman - Christ Jesus!

That there was no redemptive plan for the Gap Theory’s “Pre-Adamites” goes against the character of GOD, Who is the Same yesterday, today, and forever. It sure seems like HE mellowed out considerably offering Christ Jesus to atone for our sins, but not those of the “pre-adamites”.

The Gap Theory is False Teaching (an overview) Part 1

Published by carlpaulino under RELIGION Edit This

My argument is based on the fact that: GOD IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FORVER. HE SAID “I CHANGE NOT”

**** 1.) There is no remnant in what is called “Lucifer’s Flood”. God Always has a remnant. Otherwise, mankind would not be here via
Noah, Israel would not be here, period, and none would be spared in the end time. Christ Himself, even said “And except those days be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.  This “theory” negates that attribute of GOD.

**** 2.) The Bible clearly teaches that sin and death entered the world through AdamSPECIFICALLY (Romans 5:12). This theory, suggesting GOD’s (unrecorded) Judgment, requires that sin and death came into the world BEFORE Adam, which contradicts alot of scripture. Furthermore, the creation account that we see in Genesis 1, where it repeatedly says “and GOD saw that it was good” was built upon death, destruction, and dead men’s bones; hardly what one would call and Edenic Paradise, let alone –good!

**** 3.) There is no redemption, no redemptive plan (Covenant), there is NO BLOOD, and there is no hope. This theory implies that GOD destroyed Mankind, and every living thing without warning and without remedy. HE must have “mellowed out” by the time Noah came around and wickedness was abounding (i.e. saving 8 people and the animals). But if HE did (mellow out), then of course, HE wouldn’t have been the same “yesterday”(during the Pre-Adamite age), which would give us little hope of His being the same today, tomorrow, or forever. He also always provides a way of escape (i.e. redemption);an animal sacrifice (in the garden),  an ark, a lamb, and a Savior because HIS Mercies are everlasting…i.e. eternity past and eternity future. HIS Word is FOREVER settled in Heaven.  This theory negates those attributes of GOD.

The Gap Theory is False Teaching Genesis 1:1-2

Published by carlpaulino under RELIGION Edit This

Some people believe there was a FLOOD ( because of sin and chaos),  and a TIME GAP between Genesis 1:1-2. The original language suggests NO SUCH THING.

Gen 1:2 And the Spirit of God MOVED #7363 upon the face of the waters.

Let’s look up the word “MOVED” in Genesis 1:2 where it says the Spirit of GOD moved upon the face of the waters? It’s Stongs # 7363 TO BROOD, by Implication, to be relaxed. Brood (v) means to sit on and cover as a fowl on her eggs for the purpose of warming them and hatching chickens, OR as a hen over her chickens to warm and protect them (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary).

How could all that sin, chaos, and destruction happen while GOD was Brooding over HIS Creation? The original language illustrates the handywork of a loving GOD carefully creating this brilliant environmnet we call earth.

One of the other verses used by Gap proponents is Job 38 but it suggests the same intimate concern and care that Genesis 1:1-2 does. Job 38:8-9 Or [who] shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, [as if] it had issued out of the womb? When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it, The word Swaddlingband is Strongs Concordance #2854 a swathing cloth. (which is a cloth wrapped around an infant). Notice also verse 38 GOD likens it to a BIRTH – issued out of the womb And then HE places a swaddling band / cloth on HIS Creation.

None of theses verses are indicative of Chaos, Sin, Judgment, or a GAP. The fact that GOD, IN HIS SOVEREIGNTY, decided to make the world with water on it already is not indicative of a flood, chaos or sin. It just shows how HE made it. There’s a planet out there that is a ball of GAS. Is that indicative of judgment, sin, chaos, etc, or is it just how GOD made that planet?

For one to determine that there was a flood and a gap and pass that off as doctrine and truth is unfounded Biblically and adding to scripture. Show me in Genesis 1 where that FLOOD is, and that Gap, because the original language says no such thing. In fact, the original language demonstrates the love and care that a mom has for her new born babe. The Gap Theory says there was chaos, sin, and judgment. Only one can be TRUE and it is Written.

Georgia Senate Race

Published by carlpaulino under Politics Edit This

A few years ago, I met Senator Saxby Chambliss at “meet and greet” barbecue for Georgia Governor Sonny Purdue. At the time, one of the big issues on the table was Border Security. I asked Senator Chambliss, why can’t the Republicans just pass a “Secure the Border First’ type bill (that would put a wall or fence on our borders) ? His answer disappointed me. He said, “because Harry Reid (Democrat minority lead at the time) won’t let us”.

I  thought  that was an incredibly weak response, but it was fairly consistent (the weakness that is) with the leadership of the Republican party. They had control of the House, the Senate, and the White House for years and accomplished nothing – in terms of advancing Conservatism – the platform on which they run.

Just like his colleagues on the right, Senator Chambliss has become an appeaser and a compromiser with the liberal ideology of the left. His efforts in “The Gang of 10” virtually killed the momentum we had going in the energy debate. The tide was finally turning. Democrats were actually moving toward legitimate oil drilling in proven areas until the found ol’ Saxby and a few other “republicans”.

The gang of 10 effectively killed any chance of productive drilling by oil companies by forcing them to drill where there was no proven supply and burdened the oil companies with taxes and red tape. Saxby took the air right out of us on that one, and gave much needed cover for the left.

Several weeks ago, Senator Chambliss struck again. While purporting to be a “conservative”, Senator Chambliss voted in favor of the Bailout. This is the most grievous, socialistic takeover of our free markets and banks. Amid thousands of calls against it, Senator Chambliss assured us, this needed to be done to save our economy.

Really? Since then the market continues its free-fall. The banks aren’t lending. Credit is still tight and to top it off, the Treasury Secretary now tells us he knew the plan (that he sold to congress) wouldn’t work at the time they signed it!

I want to know how a simple electrician (and others like me) could see giving one man a trillion dollars with no oversight was not going to fix our problems, yet somehow Saxby and others in the Senate and House believed it was the only way?

Saxby betrayed his alleged conservative principles. He ignored the furious pleas of his constituency. He signed off on the biggest government takeover and nationalization of our mortgage / banking industry; while running for re-election in one of the most conservative states in the nation.

I am a conservative. I typically vote Republican ( even if I have to hold my nose) all the way down the ticket. I did not vote for Senator Chambliss in the General Election and I will not vote for him in the upcoming run-off.

Saxby is part of the problem. He (along with others) failed to push the conservative agenda forward when the Republicans had power because Harry Reid wouldn’t let him. He was an integral part of thwarting the best chance we had for energy independence in decades. His lack of judgment and betrayal of conservative principles in passing the bailout is the last straw.

I genuinely hope he loses. If he couldn’t lead when his party was in power and he sided with the left while in the minority; what confidence should we have that he will stand as the last ambassador of conservative principles in defending against a filibuster – proof Democrat senate?

The Republican party has strayed way off course. Saxby Chambliss has done the same. I’d rather have a chance to vote for a genuine, principled, conservative next time around (in the republican Primary) than vote for a Senator whose recent record bears little difference to that which would be expected of his Democrat rival.
